Riding steady on the syncopated beats and reverb-lashed synths, Cade, who shot to fame on the Canadian East Coast with his band, Sam the Astronaut, took the mellifluous reigns and rode steady with his rhythmic cadence in R.E.M. State, which started as an instrumental piece taken from KAIS’ artful EP, What If I. 

After the alt-indie multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer, noted the requests to reimagine R.E.M. state with a hip-hop top-line, KAIS found himself as one of the freshest names in the alt-hip-hop scene with his soulfully transcendent hit, which has exactly what it takes to leave you as high as the ascending cascades.
